LED strip light is a commonly used linear lighting product, and the installation method is different for different use spaces. Modeling light manufacturers have summarized several commonly used LED strip installation methods.
1. Indoor installation: When the LED light strip is used for interior decoration, it can be attached to the cabinet for installation, and the ceiling chandelier in the living room can be installed with card slots and snaps. The installation method is based on the actual installation position. Set OK. Indoor light strips are often used in: bookcases, entrances, shoe cabinets, wardrobes, cabinets, background walls, etc.
2. Outdoor installation: Outdoor installation needs to consider waterproof, sunscreen and other factors. First of all, you have to choose a strip light with improved performance. For outdoor construction, you can choose silicone neon light strips to achieve waterproof, corrosion resistance, acid and alkali resistance, ultraviolet resistance and other characteristics, and the installation methods include card slot installation and buckle installation. For outdoor light strips for underwater use, you need to choose IP68 waterproof grade light strips.
3. Power connection: LED strip light is usually a low-voltage light strip with a voltage of 24v or 12v, so a switching power supply is required. The size of the power supply is determined according to the power of the LED strip and the length of the connection. If you don't want each LED strip to be controlled by a power supply, you can buy a switching power supply with relatively large power as the main power supply, and then connect the input power supply of all LED strips in parallel to the power supply supplied by the main switching power supply. The advantage of this is that it can be controlled centrally, but it is inconvenient that the lighting effect and switch control of a single LED strip cannot be realized.
4. Controller connection method: Usually RGB magic bar and LED marquee need to use a controller to achieve color change, and the control distance of each controller is different. Generally speaking, the control distance of the simple controller is 10-15 meters, while the control distance of the remote control controller is 15-20 meters, and the distance can be controlled up to 30 meters. If the LED strip is connected at a long distance and the controller cannot control such a long strip, it needs to use an amplifier for tapping.
5. Large connection distance: LED strip light have a large connection distance, which cannot be exceeded during installation. Generally, the long connection distance of the 3528 series light strip is 20 meters, and the long connection distance of the 5050 series light strip is 15 meters. If the long connection distance exceeds the e of the strip light, the strip is easy to heat up during use, which affects the service life of the strip. Therefore, when wiring, be sure to exceed the long connection distance of the light strip
